Windows 10: Technical issue

So I found this short cable, one side was an audio jack and the other side was usb, I was being stupid and plugged the usb side into my laptop the audio jack into my computer as well, my screen went black and I had to hold down the power button and incorrectly retard my laptop to get it to work again, can someone explain what happened?

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
