Windows 10: telephone scams

I have recently received telephone calls from someone, a Peter Smith - Micro employee: MSW976, claiming to be associated with Microsoft regarding a Microsoft program I 'installed' two years ago and it would be renewed at a charge of $299 if I did not act promptly or that I could obtain a 'refund' if I completed a refund request. After I fell for this scam and began the refund request I became alarmed, stopped and called my computer service man who came to my house and cleaned up the callers attempt to gain control of my computer, etc. I believe these calls came from the following telephone numbers(erased): 713.955.5959; 385.42(7)9.4153; and 325.238.8998; numerous calls from the last number and we could hear numerous voices in the background.
