Windows 10: telling me to re-buy Minecraft after I already bought it??

bought Minecraft java a year ago on a Microsoft account, jus got a new pc and now its telling me to re-buy not only java but MC for windows. ive tried logging out logging in using different emails but nothing is working

I bought Minecraft Java from Minecraft yet Microsoft tells me I have to buy theirs in order to open up MinecraftInstaller.... What the hell. How do I open up Minecraft Installer to be able to even login when Microsoft is not even allowing me to get to the login. This is ****. I hate Bedrock Edition.

It's not something I have any direct experience with but a quick read suggests to me that you will not need to do Much if any reconfiguration of the existing server

 

do I have to re buy Minecraft since the switch over from Mojang happened?

hi I bought Minecraft over 2 years ago now and I just tried to get back on it but it's telling me I have to buy it again, I dug up the old email from Mojang just to show that I actually did buy it. hope I could get suggestions on how the fix this.
