Windows 10: Telling the computer to print a document/image but it only prints half or the page?

I don't know what is going on and am not sure if my english is clear enough.

I am computer technician and work in a building with +30 people. A few people are having problems when printing. It only prints half of the page. Some people have this issue, others do not, so me and my colleague assume it is something going on with their machines.

Like, one employee sends an image to print but it only prints half of it and other employee prints an image to the same printer and it prints the whole image. We had all printer installed on the server and thought it was a server problem, so we removed them from the server and installed the printers drivers directly on each computer but it still happens. Also happens with word documents and my colleague said with pdf too. But it doesnt happen to everyone.

I was thinking if it was some windows update that could be causing this? We also got the most recent drivers installed.

Any tips or any idea what might be going on?

Half-page printing of Adobe document

i am using a toshiba laptop (windows10) and an hp laserjet 1320. whenever I try to print an acrobat pdf document, my printer prints only the top half of the page, then shoots out the paper. Nothing is printed on the bottom half of the page. HELP

 

HP printer prints half pages

I'm having a problem printing. Whenever I print a document, my computer will print either

• a blank page
• a small portion of a page
• most of a page
• or (sometimes) a full page

Then it will repeat the print job, indefinitely, until I cancel it, printing at random items 1, 2, 3, or 4 above.

Also, when I view the print queue, the printer status flickers into "offline" mode, and the print job continuously resets, it appears. Here's a video of it happening:

I'm using Windows 10, with an HP Photosmart C5580 printer. This has been occurring for the past two months, every single time I print. I've reset the print spooler service, re-installed my printer multiple times, used both the "windows update" driver and
the driver from the HP website. I selected various print processors. I ran the printer troubleshooter, but no errors were detected. Event Viewer shows a couple of errors, recording approximately every 10th occurrence of this, so idk if it's the actual issue.
Here's the message it shows:

The document Print Document, owned by SYSTEM, failed to print on printer HP Photosmart C5500 series. Try to print the document again, or restart the print spooler.


Data type: RAW. Size of the spool file in bytes: 0. Number of bytes printed: 0. Total number of pages in the document: 0. Number of pages printed: 0. Client computer: \\****. Win32 error code returned by the print processor: 1780. A null reference pointer
was passed to the stub.

The printer works perfectly well on two other PCs I use, both running windows 10.

Nothing seems to resolve this. It seems like this is an issue with the print spooler, maybe caused by a faulty update?

 

Print prints calibration pages, but no documents

Negative: I followed all these steps, and I again removed anything from my computer and registry that is related to HP, and re-installed everything: Same problem after many attempts: The printer prints through HP setup software, but fails to print through
Windows (Test page or Microsoft application like Word, Outlook or Excel)

Outlook displays "Printer not ready"

No problem printing from notepad

No problem printing a pdf from Microsoft Edge

Interesting is that if I print to Microsoft print to PDF then I get identical error messages

Any other suggestions or hints where the problem might be?
