Windows 10: temp files taking up 75 gigs of data

so, i was watching youtube, as you do. i got a notification to clear up my files, i thought "strange, i only ever store files on my d: drive" so i click the notification, and BAM! i got 75 gigs of temp files. so i was like "WHAT IN THE NAME OF-" and tried to clean it up by pressing the temporary files, but nothing was therei tried to follow this: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/temporary-files-is-taking-up-12gb-of-space-but-not/66fd1835-0052-4260-90b7-9facb97cdadfbut it didnt work

Windows Temporary files are created by the operating system during the normal course of its running when there may not be enough memory allocated for the task.

I suggest you to follow the steps below to delete temporary files nad check if it helps:

Step 1

• Press Windows key + R
• Type temp and click OK
• Press Ctrl + A and click Delete

Step 2

• Press Windows key + R
• Type %temp% and click OK
• Press Ctrl + A and click Delete

Step 3

• Press Windows key + R
• Type prefetch and click OK
• Press Ctrl + A and click Delete

Hi i have Lumia 520 i have a problem in deleting temp files.when i go to phone storage and check it is showing 2.31gb of data in temp files if i try to delete that it is displaying message that deleting temp files but data is still there.please suggest

I suggest you to boot the computer to Safe Mode, then perform disk cleanup on Windows 10 and check, if it works.
