Windows 10: Temperature Missing from Weather Icon on Windows 11 Taskbar

The weather icon that opens Windows 11 Widgets is not showing the temp for me any longer:I have also sometimes seen this showing a stock ticker instead of weather. Clicking on it still opens the Widgets panel and the temperature does appear correctly there in the Weather panel. I have tried restarting Explorer, which resets the Taskbar. I have also tried killing Widgets in Task Manager. Neither of these help. Is this a common known issue or is this unusual? Is there a fix for this?

I followed these steps exactly and the only thing showing in my task bar is a sun icon but not temperatures are being displayed.

 

why the weather icon on the left side of the taskbar in Windows 11 is square shaped and not round shaped showing the temperature.

You can type, weather, in the search box and add the weather icon to the taskbar but it doesn't show the temperature.

In order for us to assist you on how to display the temperature application on your taskbar. Kindly follow these steps:

• Click the Windows or the Start icon.
• Look for the weather application under tiles.
• Right click it then select More.
• Choose Pin to taskbar.
