Windows 10: Temperature on task bar showing different result than widget

Discus and support Temperature on task bar showing different result than widget in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; The temperature on the taskbar shows a different result than the widget.     Temperature on task bar showing different result than widget


    The temperature on the taskbar shows a different result than the widget. How come? I tried changing location, turn auto detect location on/off but no luck.

    Outside temperature display in taskbar

    I followed these steps exactly and the only thing showing in my task bar is a sun icon but not temperatures are being displayed.

    need help configuring taskbar widget

    so, question...on my stepfather's computer, he has the task bar widget that shows the weather icon, a temperature and a brief 'sunny, partly cloudy' etc description.

    on mine, I have the weather icon and temperature...

    how do I set mine to have that brief description after the temperature?

    Cannot modify Task Bar settings

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

    I understand your concern and will be happy to assist you.

    I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if the issue persists.

    • Right click on the Task Bar.
    • Uncheck the option " Lock the Taskbar."
