Windows 10: Temperature on task bar showing different result than widget

Discus and support Temperature on task bar showing different result than widget in Windows 10 Gaming to solve the problem; The temperature on the taskbar shows a different result than the widget.     Temperature on task bar showing different result than widget


    The temperature on the taskbar shows a different result than the widget. How come? I tried changing location, turn auto detect location on/off but no luck.

    Outside temperature display in taskbar

    I followed these steps exactly and the only thing showing in my task bar is a sun icon but not temperatures are being displayed.

    need help configuring taskbar widget

    so, question...on my stepfather's computer, he has the task bar widget that shows the weather icon, a temperature and a brief 'sunny, partly cloudy' etc description.

    on mine, I have the weather icon and temperature...

    how do I set mine to have that brief description after the temperature?

    Cannot modify Task Bar settings

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

    I understand your concern and will be happy to assist you.

    I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if the issue persists.

    • Right click on the Task Bar.
    • Uncheck the option " Lock the Taskbar."
