Windows 10: Temporary Files replicating in Windows 10

I am running Windows 10 on a Lenovo Thinkpad Carbon X1 and have recently been getting a "low disk space" error. Despite moving 15GB of files off the C Drive the problem persists and I realised that the issue was growth of Temporary files.

I reviewed past posts relating to the Windows Store and ran the Troubleshooter, and tried to reset the cache - although the application hung without opening the store. I then tried the Windows Update Troubleshooter but this did not resolve the issue.

I could see the size of the Temporary files through Windows/Settings/Systems/Storage and had Storage Sense switched on. This identified a high level of

Files in Windows8_OS C:\Windows\Temp including in particular 20,548KB Application_FC658AD7-718E-0000-****-66FC8E71D601.evtx files; and similar System_FC*** and "Microsoft-Windows-Store_Operational_FC*** that are categorised as "Event Logs".

I deleted the contents of this which released 15.6GB I could see this via the Windows/Settings... but it immediately starts re-build and within 10 minutes I was back to "Low Disk Space" with 673 of these files had been created.

Can you advise as my PC is nearly un-usable.

As you are saying that you are not able to delete the temporary internet files and temporary Files in Windows 10.

1.Have you installed any third party applications to clean up temporary Files?

2.In the Disk Cleanup had you checked the Temporary Internet files and Temporary files before doing disk cleanup?

I would respond as follows:

1. No, I have not installed any third party applications to delete Temporary Internet Files or Temporary Files.

2. Yes, as mentioned in my message, I had chcked the relevant boxes for Temporary Internet Files and Temporary Files before performing Disk Clean-up. But still the files won't delete.

Your suggestion is about deleting Browsing history. I don't have any issues with deleting Browsing history. It's about deleting Temporary Internet Files and Temporary Files. Browsing history can be deleted via Internet Options or from the option available
in the Hub of Microsoft Edge.

Any help on how to delete Temporary Internet Files and Temporary Files would be greatly appreciated.
