    Hello,

    my laptop HP probook 450 G7 Corei i7 10th gen comes with a windows 10 Home 64 bit , I updated it to pro with a un- used windows 8.1 pro 64 bit retail key from a MS store in a box with two DVD's and it upgraded to 10 pro usually with a digital licence linked with my MS account , but for an ovious reason, I have to clean re-install the OS version 2004 downloaded via mediacreation tools with a USB pen drive, after re-installation, by checking the activation status , I found the windows is activated with a 'Home' digital version ! I tried again with that 8.1 key, but it did not active saying check your internet connection internet connection was perfect try again later ! And anouther message saying that this copy of win is Enterprise ver so it can not be activated, with red colour ! I tried with awin generic key and restart , then the copy was activated with pro version !


    * Is it problem with a Microsoft acivation sever ?


    * Newer ver 2004 ?


    * Pc or MS store was not updated ?

    Need some advice on computer problems.

    Run HDtune (free version) on you hard drive. but most likely that the problem. You can also test your memory with Memtest86 as suggested above

    It does help if you read the replies *Wink I mentioned the 4GB Fat32 limit in post #6

    As for getting MCT to run on your machines, I showed in post #6 a screenshot of it running on mine.

    In post #18 I suggested troubleshooting steps to get the MCT to run, and if that failed a way to split up an install.wim that's larger than 4GB.
