    Text in the Windows File Explorer is Too Small, Thin, and Faint for My Eyes


    Hi,I struggle to read text in the File Explorer in Windows 11. I can read Settings, but I struggle to read Control Panels. I suspect this will affect other apps too.The text is normally too small for me to read. I can counter that by increasing text scaling, though it only goes to 225%, and/or increasing overall scaling, and/or reducing screen resolution, and by picking Details view in the File Explorer, which has bigger labels than the other views.The text is also too faint for me to read. Of the scaling options, only reducing screen resolution does anything to help with this. It makes everyt

    Windows 10 Tweaks

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
