Windows 10: Text is malformed in Windows Explorer and Taskbar

    Text is malformed in Windows Explorer and Taskbar


    For some reason, since the last Windows Update, all the text in the Taskbar and Explorer are malformed like this:

    This doesn't happen in the Start Menu, the Search function or any other programs. When I try to save/load something in another program, the file names appear normal.


    I've already fixed this once by running the sfc /scannow command in administrator CMD, but since then it's happened again and I have no idea why. I've performed several virus scans since this started happening so I don't think it's that.

    Cannot launch File Explorer from taskbar in Windows 10

    I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

    • First unpin the File Explorer from the task bar.
    • Press Windows + E.
    • And right click on File Explorer in the taskbar.
    • And Pin the File Explorer to Taskbar and Check if it helps.

    Hi,

    To assist you with your concern, we suggest you pin the File Explorer from the Start Menu by following these steps:

    • Click the Start Menu.
    • Right-click File Explorer.
    • Choose Pin to taskbar.

    Help!, windows taskbar disapeared!!!

    Try Ctrl+Esc.

    If Recycle Bin is the only icon you can see, open it, from the explorer window navigate to Control Panel and find Taskbar settings there.
