Windows 10: The app screen requiring keyboard input email, word etc sometimes without warning...

For some time now when using an app that requires keyboard input such as email, word etc, the app window disappears and the desktop screen is displayed. When I move the mouse, the app screen I was using together with everything I had typed reappears.I have replaced my corded mouse with a new one and the problem still exists.This only happens when using an app which required keyboard input where the mouse is not used. The time between each occurrence varies so it doesn't seem to be related to inactivity.I am using Windows 10.

  Press Windows key + X key and select
  Control Panel from the menu.

  Click on Language and click on
  Advanced settings in the left pane.

  Select the required input in the drop down menu under
  Override for default input method.

  Click on Save.
  

If the required language is not listed, follow the steps below to add the required language and then perform the above mentioned changes.

  key and select Time & Language.

  Click on Region & language in the left pane, click on

I am trying to email a word document to myself.

I would suggest you cancel everything open and start fresh using just these steps:

• Open your Mail app or website
• Click the New button and write a new email message with your address in the To line
• Click the Attachment paperclip button and select your Word file to attach
• Click Send
