Hi Dan for security reasons, your best option is to Reset Windows 10 before parting with your PC:

Press the Shift Key and click Restart

Your PC will boot into the Windows Recovery Environment

Go to Troubleshoot - Advanced Options - Reset this PC

Choose to keep your files and apps, just your files or to keep nothing

Then start the Reset

Your PC will then be like it came from the factory ready for the new user . . .

I realize the inconvenience you are experiencing with Windows 10. I will certainly help you.

As of now, there is no automatic typing app from Microsoft. But you can search for a third party app in the Windows Store and check if it helps.

I don't have any of those listed and am not likely to. Either they provide functions I have no need for or I'm already using something better.

Not even VLC Player ?
What do you use to play DVDs ?

 

I did use VLC Player, but found Daum Potplayer to be much better. Plus Potplayer has a 64-bit version, which I don't believe VLC does yet.

 

I have VLC installed in my 64-bit Win 10 Home.
It works as expected.

 

Yes, VLC comes in 32 and 64 bit versions. Has for a couple of years.

 

Anyone knows if there is a VLC Portable that is 64bit?

 

I rip all my bluray/dvds to mkv and play them with the default Video app since it can now play mkv files. I haven't used VLC since W10 came out.


I only use Chrome from those listed apps. *Smile

Thanks davidhk, I think that's the 32bit portable. Every 64bit portable I tried doesn't work.

 

But near the bottom, in faint text, it says...........................
