Windows 10: the code execution cannot proceed because msvcp100.dll was not found windows 11

I'm trying to play victoria 2 on my laptop but it won't run cause of these messages:MSVCP100.dll was not found MSVCR100.dll was not found I've done everything but it still shows these messages and it won't run the game, I'd appreciate if anyone could help.

system Error MSVCP100.dll

My computer is saying there is a system Error and is giving me this message when I try to view an image on a disc. The message is as follows "The code execution cannot proceed because MSVCP100.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem.

 

MSVCP100.dll and MSVCR100.dll missing

I have Windows 10, version 1703. The only error messages I am seeing are the ones saying "The code execution cannot proceed because MSVCP100.dll/MSVCR100.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem." I have tried doing a System File
Checker scan on my computer, plus updating the Visual C++.

 

msvcp100.dll

The first method to try is to download msvcp100.dll inside Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 redistributable package. Follow the steps:

• Go to https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=52685 and click on
  Download;
  
• In case you have 64-bit OS, check on both of the versions (x64 and x86, it’s important!), if you have 32-bit OS – check on x86 only and download it to your machine;
  
• Run vc_redist.x86.exe at first, then — vc_redist.x64.exe;
  

After the installation, now you should see msvcp100.dll and other dll in folders C:\Windows\System32\ or C:\Windows\SysWOW64\.

That should help you to fix the issue.

Sometimes msvcp100.dll can be accidentally deleted by installation wizard of other app. Check if the file is located in the appropriate folder – C:\Windows\System32\ or C:\Windows\SysWOW64\.
