Windows 10: The computer screen goes black and brings me to login screen while closing all of my apps.

just got this new pc, it has a Ryzen 5 5600g and an rtx3060, the first game I tried to play was Apex Legends but after 15 minutes my screen went black as if the PO had restarted itself and brought me back to the login screen with my game and apps all closed. I thought it was an apex problem but then it proceeded to happen in Overwatch 2 as well after about 4 hours, I deleted Apex Legends thinking it could've been in the files that were causing it, and I have had no issues since, but could there be a different issue and if so how would I fix it?

Black Screen after Log on

Laptop or Desktop (Very important) Windows 10 build 14.586 has a very annoying BUG: That causes Black Screen after login:
To date there is no cure until Microsoft send Update to fix the problem: OK here goes: When you Login and the Screen Goes Black ==>
Go to your Function Keys for Screen Brightness Chose to Lighten the Screen (This will make the screen Bright) so that you can view it.
The BUG is that they reversed (via Software) what the Brightness button does -- So it is currently reversed -- "Lighten" makes it Dark -- "Darken" makes it Bright ==> Go figure Microsoft screw the pooch on this one. . . .

This is for LAPTOP -- I have never seen this on Desktops but they are fixed rather than adjustable

 

Black screen after login in

You can try the following steps to fix black screen after login in caused by KB5022360:

1. Boot into Safe Mode
   
2. Uninstall the problematic update (KB5022360)
   
3. Restart your computer normally
   
4. Check if the black screen issue has been resolved.
   

If the issue still persists, try the following:

1. Run System File Checker (SFC) to repair any corrupted system files
   
2. Perform a system restore to a previous point before the update was installed.
   

 

Black screen after login AND does not show up on network; Can still re

I've been having problems where when I boot my desktop PC I have the following happening:

• The PC was up, I was logged in, and all seemed fine.
• It would not show up on the network to other computers
• I could still get to the internet
• I shut down
• Boot up OK
• Picture fine, and can bring up login screen
• Login
• Goes to black screen with cursor
• I can Ctrl-alt-del and get the list of options
• I can select task manger
• It returns to black screen
• Still cannot be seen on network
• I CAN remote to it from another PC< but it presents a black screen also

I have fixed this by performing a restore point, but after a few days I 'm back to the same problem. I'm thinking it has to do with a recent patch being applied.

I've done a search on black screen, but there are so many...I haven't run across one that is similar. Most I'm finding are old...and it seems to me this is a recent update problem.

Any ideas?

The Task Manager does come up if wait long enough. Shows no apps running. Long list of processes running. I tried this:

• Press Windows CMD key
• Typed in Device Manager (Hoping to go in and see if anything has !, or check video drivers
