    Hello,
    I am using a X555LAB IntelR CoreTM i7-5500U CPU @ 2.40GHz with 8.00 GB RAM computer.
One day when I turn on my computer it suddenly initiated a disk check and started to repair itself, it took hours and eventually I got through and I disable the disk check and stuff by bcdedit /set {current} recoveryenabled No. I also have my Antivirus updated.

My computer still works very slow, videos took very very long to open using the Films & TV I looked up and used the command sfc /scannow and it stated that "Windows Resources Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them." and Now I also found out that I cannot open my D Drive and it asked me to format it to use it. "D: is not accessible. The volume does not contain a recognized file system."

I am not sure what is happening and how to fix it. Much appreciated if there is a solution or ways I could try to fix these problems.

Thank You The computer suddenly works very slow, and now D drive cannot be opened. 1d787340-7458-4e12-96ba-241e844fb629?upload=true.jpg

    D: Drive Suddenly Disappeared

I have seen this command before, though I've never used it much, other than to list the disks. I indeed only have 1 2TB drive. However, it's gone again. And even though I tried to list the disks, only C: appeared.

I'll try to open the box tomorrow and see if I can make it appear again.

So, I did a diskpart and then I was able to use the drive again, format it and it's now the same way I bought it (software-wise at least). I also made sure all drivers were up to date (just in case).

However, when it comes to Western Digital's disk test, it still fails for the same reasons. The disk is currently empty, so it's indeed a hardware problem. The cables are all good, so it's the drive itself I guess.

    Any other suggestions maybe?

So, I did got no different results from the test, but I saw this. It seems this is the only fail it gives in this results window.

  3. D drive

    Hi,

Based on the details you have provided us, it appears that there might be some corrupted contents on the said partition. We can also consider that this is caused by a virus.

For us to check if a certain virus is hiding your files, kindly follow the steps below:

    • Type Command prompt in the search bar.
    • Type-in the following command:

      attrib -h -r -s /s /d D:\*.*
    • Press Enter to execute the command.

If you think that there is nothing important stored in it, then we suggest that you reformat your D drive so that you can use the free space for important files.

You can follow the steps below to start with the process:

    • Click on the File Explorer.
    • Select This PC.
    • Right-click on your D drive, then click on Format.
    • Follow the on-screen process to finish formatting the partition.

Let us know how it goes so that we can further assist you.

"D" drive is full on HP B&O with Win 10

    Hello,

Based on the information you've provided, we understand that you're unable to access D: drive on your computer and would like to delete some files. For us to assist you better with this concern, kindly answer the following questions:

    • Which D: drive are you referring to, internal or external drive?
    • What happens when you try to open D: drive, do you get any error message/error code?
    • If yes, would you please mention the error message/error code in the response post?
    • By the way, when did you start noticing this issue?

Meanwhile, we suggest checking if you are able to open the drive through Disk management by following the steps below:

    • Press Windows logo + X keys on the keyboard and select Disk management option.

    • Right click on the drive which is inaccessible and select Open option.

    • Check if the changes are effective.

We're looking forward to your response.
