  3. Win10 1909 KB5006667 breaks local user access to shared printers

So as a further update and some more information that might help out with this:

I have a Windows 10 1908 system that is added to our domain, with updates up to and including the 2021-12 cumulative update. (NOTE: this also occurs with Windows 10 21H2 and the latest cumulative update for 2012-12)

The following steps are used for the printer mapping:

    1. Right-click Start Menu and select Settings

    2. Select Devices

    3. Select Printers & Scanners

    4. Click the "+Add a printer or scanner"

    5. Select the Printer that I want isn't listed"

    6. Select connect to this printer

    7. Enter in "\\printerserver\printername"

    Here is where things diverge:
    A. Domain User is able to map the printer without issue

    - On the printer sever EventID 4624 is logged showing a successfull kerberos logon process has succeeded, with the correct domain and username

    B. Local User is not able to map the same printer, but instead is asked to provide domain credentials. I provide the same Domain User Credentials, as in A, but get the error message "The credentials supplied are not sufficient to access this printer. Do you want to specify new credentials?" No matter what is entered the same error appears

    - On the printer server EventID 4625 is logged showing a failed NtLmSsp logon process with the local username listed

    - there are no entries for a logon with the domain credentials provided in the prompt

Sadly the one fix that I have found for this is to put in place the following registry key on the computer and server

    HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print
    RpcAuthnLevelPrivacyEnabled = REG_DWORD = 0

The credentials supplied are not sufficient to access this printer

    Credentials issue with print sharing

I am attempting to add a shared printer after installing my first Windows 10 PC on a Windows Domain.

When connecting to the shared printer (that now has everyone set to Full Control) I am still prompted for a User ID and Password - I have attempted the domain user's login credentials, I have tried the print server's local administrator, I have tried the
domain admin, I have tried every user on the system..

With each attempt, I receive the following error: The credentials supplied are not sufficient to access the printer. Do you want to specify new credentials?

When I select yes, and attempt another set of credentials the next error is: Windows cannot connect to the printer. Operation cannot be completed.

    A. Why pray tell, and I being asked for credentials

    B. What credentials would be "sufficient" if not the local admin, domain admin and a user who is assigned to the admin group?
