Windows 10: The cursor stops interacting with the system after short usuage

Hi, I have a major problem with my Windows 10 and I don't know how to solve it. After restarting my laptop everything works just fine for about 5 to 8 mindepending on the usage, then the mouse cursor points to objects but it doesn't interact with them, there is no shading or hand icon when I am browsing the web, I click and it does nothing, I can't access the taskbar or anything, I can use the tab button to scroll through windows but it doesn't work all the time sometimes it stops. so I have to restart the laptop again. I tried two mouses, updating the drivers, and updating windows. when it

Strange behavior from taskbar-cursor interaction?

Ive heard some stories of where Windows 10 for some reason seems to get confused as to whether a device is a desktop or a laptop/tablet. Im going to suggest trying this:

Go into your settings, instead of going to where the taskbar settings are, open settings and go under system. Select Tablet mode.





See that your settings look like this. "When I sign in" is set to desktop mode, "When this devices switches..." is set to dont ask and dont switch. This is what I would try. See if that works for you.

Thank you both for your prompt replies, I tried all steps listed, some I had tries previously but I still tried them again, but still no cursor.

Do you have any other suggestions?
