the 'desktop wipe out" temp file problem follow up.... some new issues

    Hello,

a few weeks ago I had a problem I had never encounter before-- my desktop icons almost all "disappeared" and I was back to square one on what remained WELCOME TO WINDOWS, WELCOME TO FIREFOX, etc. Well, Brian and others helped, showed me a website, and by simply restarting the computer 3-4 times everything was restored... but, 3 weeks later ANOTHER WIPE UP, BACK TO SQUARE ONE--

Oh, I have windows 10 on a Dell Inspiron desktop from 2011 well, did the same-- restart 3-4 times, and it was restored again. however

restored or not restored, I periodically get the message "MICROSOFT account problem--fix account go to shared experiences" when I go there, click the fix button, I get message all OK-- yet a week or two later, the FIX PROBLEM NOTIFICATION comes back.

what is going on here? What can I do for a permanent fix? Oh, and is something getting REIMAGE PLUS or something like that any good? Thanks so much

    :)

  4. the 'desktop wipe out" temp file problem follow up.... some new issues

    Still not working

    Hi Brink,

I am a Systems Engineer (entry-Level) and I am having this issue. I have followed all the steps that were listed, even created a new user account. This is for a customer. When I followed the steps, before creating a new user, i kept changing the path to point to the correct place. The second time, and following, I ended up getting the 2 SID's, one with the .bak. Followed the steps to delete the regular one and rename the .bak. restarted and still signs in as a temp profile. So I ended up cfreating a new user and still get the same Temp profile issue. Could you suggest something? Thanks.
