Windows 10: The dreaded share minecraft with kids question

I am attempting to share minecraft purchased on my account with the children in my microsoft familyHow is there not clear instuctions on how to do thisI am being prompted by microsoft to change the offline share setting on my computer and this is not possible.How does one use this product - it is not functional as is and requires it being purchased multiple times.The launcher is authorized for use but the accounts are still requesting purchasing a new product.

Is there anyway I can share Minecraft Java with my 2 kids. Or do I have to purchase 2 games….

“Minecraft for Windows + Launcher” in Microsoft store is different as the Java one right?

Do your kids use an Xbox console? If yes you can share the game via the home sharing feature in the console. But if they only use PC you will sadly need to buy another copy for the second child as windows 10 doesn’t have the game sharing feature.

Yes Java edition is different from Minecraft +launcher for windows. Java edition can be bought on Minecraft.net
