Hello, So I have been having problems with my laptop recently where whenever I try to sleep, the computer can't wake back up. For example, if I close the lid, the laptop will enter sleep mode, but if I lift it back up: nothing will wake it up. Not moving the mouse, pressing on the keyboard, power button, nothing. I'm forced to do a hard reset, but whenever I get back on windows, the keyboard or USB ports don't function and will eventually give a BSOD error : DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE. Resetting again does fix the keyboard/USB not working, but I still have the sleeping issues.Calling it "Slee

    Event Viewer driver issues

I have an HP X2 Elite (Tablet) and have just completed a clean install of Windows 10 Creative Edition.

The Event Viewer shows seven Event 219 failures. The first four are Intel issues and the next three are for other drivers. The abbreviated events are as follows.....

    Event 219 - Intel

    1. The driver \Driver\WudfRd failed to load for the device HID\Vid_8087&Pid_0AC5\6&31d47698&0&0000.
    HID Advanced Sensor Collection

    2. The driver \Driver\WudfRd failed to load for the device HID\Vid_8087&Pid_0AC4\6&22400a30&0&0000.
    INTEL - Simple Orientation Sensor

    3. The driver \Driver\WudfRd failed to load for the device HID\Vid_8087&Pid_0AC2\6&37eba55e&0&0000.

    4. The driver \Driver\WudfRd failed to load for the device HID\Vid_8087&Pid_0AC2\6&f0a8bfc&0&0000.
    ST_MICRO - Physical Accelerometer Sensor

A check of the Device Manager\Intel Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework\Properties\Events shows all the software is installed and working properly.

    Event 219 Other

    5. The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device USB\VID_138A&PID_003F\00306e61909b. Validity Sensors PCI Vendor and Device Lists
    Synaptics FP Sensors (WBF) (PID=003f)

    6. The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device {7C21B866-3EB5-40D4-A034-44DA8DD6B287}\UM\5&39192afe&0&0.
    Intel(R) MA-USB Host PAL

    7. The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device ACPI\INT3400\2&daba3ff&1.

I may be missing a driver, or the driver that controls these items is corrupt; can someone please be kind enough to suggest how I fix these issues.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

    1

That Device ID (PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1903&SUBSYS_09E21028&REV_02\3&11583659&0&20) resolves to the Intel Dynamic Platform driver

Here is the direct download link from the Dell website support page for your laptop for that Intel driver released on 8th August you need to install:

    https://dl.dell.com/FOLDER10379364M/1/Intel-Man...

    2

If your system continues to crash, please check to see if your PC is producing any minidump files, I will check those to see if they provide any insight into a potential cause of the system crashes.

    Open Windows File Explorer.

    Navigate to C:\Windows\Minidump

Copy any minidump files onto your Desktop, then zip those up.

Upload the zip file to the Cloud (OneDrive, DropBox... etc.), then choose to share those and get a share link.

Then post the link here to the zip file, so we can take a look for you.

    Hello,

So I have been having problems with my laptop recently where whenever I try to sleep, the computer can't wake back up.

For example, if I close the lid, the laptop will enter sleep mode, but if I lift it back up: nothing will wake it up. Not moving the mouse, pressing on the keyboard, power button, nothing. Resetting again does fix the keyboard/USB not working, but I still have the sleeping issues.

Calling it "Sleep" is a bit dubious, since the computer gets very warm after being in "Sleep" for an extended period of time, which, to my knowledge, shouldn't happen. I've done a fresh re-install of Windows and I still get these errors.

I check the event viewer and found 4 of these similar errors around the time my laptop should have woken up:
