When trying to preview PDF in files explorer, I get message, "The file you are attempting to Preview....."

Until recently, I was able to preview pdf documents in the preview pane when using file explorer. I have managed to get Reader DC to view most pdf documents (not all), as thumbnails, but they will not preview in the Preview Pane. Instead I get this rather
lame message that states, "The file you are attempting to preview may harm your computer. If you trust the file and the source you received it from open it to view its content."

It appears that it won't preview documents stored on my one drive, which is encrypted, if that means anything. If the file is physically on my computer, then it will preview.

Evidently, if you encrypt a folder and files on your OneDrive, you can no longer preview that document in the preview pane. Instead you get "the message" above. Since those file names don't fully describe its contents, it is useful to be able to preview
them without having to open each one individually.

I hope there is a way around this, so that I don't have to un-encrypt files and choose convenience over security. Why can't I have both?
