Windows 10: The first time Avast Full Scan didn't found malware. But after turning on PC, it detected...

So almost a week ago, I downloaded NetBeans and send it to VirusTotal.com to find out, if everything looks as it should. When I imported the NetBeans installer, the Avast malware detection poped-up, and I did not know why. So I used Avast "Full virus scan" and after that Eset online scanner. They found nothing. NOTE: I now know, that it was probably a false positive due to a VirusTotal scan..However, when I turned on PC, and connected to it headphones to charged them, and leave the PC in "the login to desktop" screen, the malware was detected. Network detects trojan on my device, Malware/avast can't find it.

I am a new uni student, I got an email from my uni network that they have detected Win.Trojan.Hadsruda on my laptop (they sent my mac address). And if I don't remove it in one day, they will lock my wifi out.

I have windows 10, I ran malware bytes and avast scans and nothing came up. I asked the front line techie of IT and he suggested getting a windows reset (while keeping files) because these trojans can't be detected easily.

Q1) Could it have been a false positive? Though I did get a request to update bit lord - which somehow 'crashed' and didn't go through 30 minutes before that incident.

Q2) Whats a suitable software to find and remove it

Q3) Is resetting preferrable? Can't trojan put it's tentacles in .doc and other non executable files?

 

Avast Antivirus

If you've previously encountered issues with Malwarebytes then you may want to avoid using it.

If Avast and Adwcleaner find no malware issues then you may have eliminated any problems though the use of "Torrents" may expose your computer to additional risks.

activesync doesn`t detect my Tytn II

Yes after installation SP3 , my desktop didn`t detect Tytn II at all. No activesync connection.

However I have tried to do sync operation thorugh my Laptop ( which had SP2 ), and at the same time it didn`t detect my Tytn II.



I didn`t try system restore. How can I try it ?
