  2. System - NT Kernel & System - High Memory usage - Win10

I think I have solved it. It probably should have occurred to me earlier.

I am a Firefox user and over time I've become enamored with add ons.

the Firefox software itself must have detected how much resource was being used and how frequently it crashed and one time when reopening it after a crash a noticed came up and it gave me no choice but to start the browser in safe mode, which disables all
the addons. suddenly I have my fast computer back. chrome had been getting slow so I did the same kind of thing there, and it works better too.

I'm not sure what one or more than one was created the problem but I've added back the ad blocker plus and thumbnail zoom add ons and it still works OK.

part of the problem maybe that the developers of the add-on don't develop a new program everytime Firefox or Chrome updates for browser. it has always been a pain that Firefox will update and suddenly a certain add on won't work, and you have to jump through
hoops. it may be some of the old ones work in the updated browser but suck up all your resources in the process.it seems as though that system file will get larger when the browser is having trouble. but after you close the browser the file size doesn't immediately
come down or sometimes doesn't come down until you reboot it. but it may be in this case the problem it is in the browser software and not windows for a change.

right now I have both Firefox and Chrome open. they are using a lot of RAM and processor, especially if you're playing a streaming video, but its not running slow.
