Windows 10: The GFWL client can't open

When I open GFWL client, it says "Connection error".So, recently, I was going to fix GFWL on YouTube and some websites, but after that, it didn't work.I have installed Windows Live ID Sign-in Assistant and GFWL. When I play the game, Batman Arkham Asylum, it works perfectly and when I sign in to this, it works normally. But the problem is the GFWL client that is still does not work. Maybe the reason is I installed GFWL.reg from the official Discord server on this video.Got any advice?ThanksBest Wishes-Sajad Sadiq

re5 gfwl wont work

i tried to sign in to gfwl from resident evil 5, it required me to update the client and i did so, then the game restarted but the gfwl dashboard won't appear anymore

 

GFWL Marketplace Issue

Download the GFWL client from the the xbox website if it is not installed on the pc.

Note; this will only work for GFWL titles, not win10 games.

But the xbox on win10 app as well as any games played will show as achievements.

Some games that were moved to steam works will not show any further GFWL

achievements, but will show in the xbox app.

Most steam games that use GFWL will have outdated versions and will not work.

To test it, launch GFWL from the folder after install, make sure you use the game tag, password

and email for xbox-GFWL unless they are the same.

 

Fable 3, Windows 10 & GFWL

Hi,


I bought Fable 3 as a PC game disk when it first came out in 2011. I installed it on my Windows 7 PC, logged in with Games for Windows Live and it all worked fine.


Cut to present day. I now have a new PC updated to Windows 10. Lionhead Studios is sadly no more and GFWL has been taken over by Xbox.


The Xbox app on Windows 10 recognises my old GFWL account login. Fable 3 is in my game list, along with the achievements I unlocked in the past, but it won't play directly from there because it was a physical CD game not a download.


When I try and install the CD it now says it can't connect to the GFWL server to verify the game. It installs fine, I just can't actually play it. I know many users are experiencing this problem. I have tried all the suggested fixes: replacing xlive.dll,
running the game from zdp.exe, changing my system clock, downloading the most recent version of GFWL client, and running in compatibility mode.


NOTHING works! Has anyone found a solution? Windows and Xbox help are of no help at all, and usually direct me to each other. Is this really a dead game now?


Any help would be MUCH appreciated.
