The home icons are blurred in 150% scale settings.

I have a laptop with 1080x1920 resolution, so automatically windows show the 150% scale settings recommended for my screen resolution, but the problem is the icons in the "home" folder are blurry not good looking. But the icons look normal when I use the 100% scaling, so any scale more than 100% makes the icons blurry. I think this is a system issue, not the user himself. I'm sure there is no solution for it right now but only a Windows update can fix this issue. so I hope the Microsoft team reads this and tries to fix it ASAP. My device specs => HP Probook 650g8 - i5-1135g7 - 8gRAM

Tray icon is blurred when I switch user with different DPI

    Hi everyone,

I develop application in windows 10 build 10586(newest version), and I find a problem.

Suppose I have two user accounts:

    • session 1 (account user1), DPI: 125%
    • session 2 (account user2), DPI: 100%
When I do theses steps, tray icon would be blurred...

    • Launch program in user1 session, tray icon looks like clear on the bottom right corner。
    • Switch to another user (user2)。
    • Stitch back to the user1。
    • tray icon is blurred。
    • operate the application, tray icon is normal as long as it's updated。
Does anyone encounter this issue? It would be no problem if both DPI are 100%, maybe OS use wrong icon to scale into 125%。

    Thanks for your answer.

  3. Windows 10 Creator's update - Every time I undock, scaling goes to 150%

We appreciate that you have checked your drivers and followed the suggested troubleshooting steps. Since the issue is still the same, this can be related to the new customer scaling settings that came with the Creator's Update. Can you follow the steps below
so we can check it for you:

    • Click on Start then Settings.
    • Choose System then Display.
    • Under Display, select Custom scaling and set it to 100%.

Update us on how it goes as we are eager to get this resolved for you.

  4. The home icons are blurred in 150% scale settings.

Why does windows set a kiosk users scale 150%?

    Hello,

In windows 11, I’m using the kiosk wizard to create a new user that runs MS edge. This kiosk is to display a sign. My problem is the windows user that is created is defaulted to 150% scale. I can’t get to the user settings to change the scale to 100%. Also if I create a manual user set the scale to 100% and then apply the kiosk to manually to that user as soon as the monitor is changed on the computer windows, default back to 150% scale. I am unsure how to proceed I understand you can set MS edge scale with a flag, but I’m unsure how to do that with chaos mode I believe maybe there might be a policy to set all users scale to 100% but I’m unsure of how to do that.
