  1. The icon shadows still appear when using the snap feature Windows 10

The icon shadows still appear when using the snap feature. I do not see that this bug has been fixed. If it has, please post link to update. This is a very annoying issue as it makes the wording very hard to read.

  2. Remove drop shadow on icons on desktop in Windows 10

I'm using Windows 10 Pro with the flower background provided by Microsoft. I've tried both turning off the Snap Assist feature and unchecking the box for desktop icon drop shadows.

    The shadows remain.

  3. Remove drop shadow on icons on desktop in Windows 10

The easiest way to get rid of this is:

    1. Disable the shadows in the visual effects settings.

    2. Disable Snap Assist (which is a quite useless feature anyway) to prevent the shadows from re-appearing.

I never had the problem again after doing this.

Remove drop shadow on icons on desktop in Windows 10

No, the shadows appear under every icon label if the corresponding option in the Performance Options / Visual Effects is enabled. Here you can see example screenshots with instructions how to enable or disable the shadows.

"Hide or Show Drop Shadow of Desktop Icon Labels in Windows 10"

The bug in Windows 7 and 10 that people are complaining about here (and that you are obviously not aware of) is that these shadows sometimes re-appear even though the option is
disabled. The only way to prevent this that I found so far is disabling the Snap Assist feature. I have no idea what this feature has to do with the shadows, but it works.

I recommend to read a thread completely before posting irrelevant replies and blaming people for being unable to use a computer.
