Windows 10: the input is going into the monitor .

I had a post on my other discussion the other day:

Make sure the input is going into the monitor as this may be creating your issue.

I replied with: Thanks ill try that but how do i do that exactly??? sry im not super good with external connections. |||||||||||||||||||| as i said in that post, i am not the best with external displays on windows 10. Was very helpful but it would be beneficial if someone could either post a video or picture or just try to explain it in depth with text so that i can get a better undertsanding of how to do it. ||||| thanks!||| please respond if you know anything about this

current input timing is not supported

Hi,

Following up on your concern about the error The current input timing is not supported by the monitor display. Please change your input timing to 1366x768@60 Hz or any other monitor listed time as per the monitor specifications. How did
it go after trying DaveM121's suggestion?

 

Secondry monitor says no input

When 1 and 2 are posted under the Display option, it means that the device is detecting a video input. Concerns related to signal input could be associated with the driver or the hardware component of your device.
To help us determine the appropriate troubleshooting steps that can resolve your concern, we would like to ask the following questions:

• Do you see your monitors under Display settings? To check, right-click on the blank area on your desktop and select Display settings.
• What projection option did you choose for your monitors? To check, press
  Windows key + P on your keyboard.
• What is the make and model of your device?
• How are the monitors connected to your device? Examples of connections are VGA, HDMI, and DVI.

Windows 10 touchscreen input registering on wrong monitor

Here is what I have found. The procedure has worked in Win 8, but does not seem to help in Windows 10 anymore. I would call it a bug.

• Go to Search / Cortana
• Serach for "Tablet PC Settings"
• Click "Setup..."
• Choose "Touch Input..."
• Hit the "Enter" key until you see the instructions appear on your touch monitor. Touch this screen and it will say something like "Hit enter to move to the next step".
