Recently, there was this November update, and I was able to download most of them, but couldn't download 2024-11 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 24H2 for arm64-based Systems KB5046617. After the failed attempt, in the following days, I started to notice that the battery life was shorter than usual, or rather it was draining pretty fast after update . The laptop I'm using is asus tuf fx505dt

    Looks like Berton got there first..... and or thinking was very much along the same lines.

    Did you enter BIOS and see what it is seeing?

    Think I would load defaults in BIOS to allow it to sense what is installed.

    Still fails I would return. Modules can be bad.

    Asus usually has a Qualified Vendor list.

    One site that I've never had issues with Crucial.com

    Normally I try to match specs on memory modules.

    Crucial claims that the max RAM supported by the laptop is 32 GB (2 X 16 GB). I know of no more trustworthy source of information.

    These are the specs for the Samsung RAM:

    It's not obvious why there'd be a problem.

    I get from your post that the laptop came with a single 8GB SODIMM, and that you're trying to add a second. Is that correct?
