  1. The last Microsoft Update DRAMATICALLY slowed my computer !!!!

Has this happened to anyone else? sorry if I'm the millionth person to post this -- I’m a long time Mac user since 1985 forced to use Windows now <sigh>. I’ve had this computer for 3 weeks now but only connected it to the Internet on Thursday, 27 Aug 2020. It was fine UNTIL MICROSOFT UNILATERALLY DOWNLOADED AN UPDATE yesterday Saturday 29 Aug around 8:00 PM. As soon as I rebooted, this computer started moving like a snail – so it must have been the UPDATE !!!!!! HOW DOES ONE FIX THIS ?????? Incidentally, when I just used the “Caps Lock” key it gave off a very loud beep – it’s never done that before and nearly gave me a heart attack. I don’t play videos, FB, Twitter or any of that stupid stuff, just office suite and internet browser. THANKS IN ADVANCE!

    :)

windows 7 has slowed dramatically after the last two updates

If it has happened to both computers since the last updates, that points to the updates.

But the updates are mainly for Security and Performance.

However Microsoft often gives you hardware driver "updates" that do not improve your devices' performance at all..
