    Hi! I am seeing on Settings\Activation the following message on my Windows 10 Pro 2004: The last product key (ID:xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-AAOEM) you entered can't be used on this copy of Windows (0x8007045B). It is also shown: Windows 10 Pro Windows is activated with a digital licence linked to your Microsoft Account. This was originally a Windows Home machine which was upgraded to Pro via a Windows 10 Pro product key I bought years ago (2018 probably) and it has never given any headache. Should I be worried about this warning? What should I do? Thank you! PS: I have never seen this message while it was on 190x.

    Product key is a 25 alphanumeric character code that look like this:

    xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx

    This key is used to activate your microsoft product

    The product id is use to identify your product like a serial number

    Hello,

    Here is major difference between them:

    Product ID: A non-unique code generated by the computer on which the software is installed, and it describes the installation.

    Product Key: Is a typical unique code in XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX format, and it used to activate Windows.
