The title says it all. If you have a Dell Venue 10 running windows 10 try to get back to Windows 8 if you can since you can't stop updates. The update appeared to complete correctly and the restart worked. After shutting down it is not possible to power back on. *Sad

    Cumulative Update KB3200970 keeps failing

What makes you think I haven't even started using the Dell support resources? You have no idea what time I have invested in making this tablet usable and keeping it that way from Win 8 through to this latest update of Win 10. The effort is way beyond what
the normal user would do and would drive them to toss this tablet in favour of an iPad. I think my experience gives me every right to be annoyed.

You didn't dig far enough re support for this model 5830 tablet:

    Tablets
The table below lists Dell tablets that have been tested with Windows 10 Anniversary Update. If your computer model is not listed, Dell is not testing the device, and drivers have not been updated for that
    model.

    Model

    Venue 10 Pro 5055

    Venue 10 Pro 5056

    Venue 8 Pro 5855

    Venue 11 Pro 7140

The latest Win 10 update just killed 2 Dell Venue 10 Tablets

I got the latest for my Dell Venue 8 Tablet but had to put it on one of my mapped NAS drives then copied it to the D: drive [64GB MicroSDXC card] to do the manual install. Seems to be fine. I think the Wi-Fi is a bit weak on the Venue 8.

This is very strange. I put on the charger for a short time today and held down the power button longer than usual and now both tablets are working properly.
