Windows 10: The latest Windows 11 2024 update is disabling my Internet WiFi totally big time, causing...

The latest Windows 11 2024 update on my laptop since Dec 2024 is disabling my Internet WiFi totally big time, causing serious issues to IntelR Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz. Microsoft has to fix this somehow. After trying many options, Now the workaround is I have is to switched back to the older version of the driver for IntelR Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz .

Can't connect to the Internet after Win 11 23H2 Update KB5037591 May 2024

Dell XPS13 Running Windows 11 Home v23H2 last update KB5037591 May 2024

Connected to home wi fi with Killer WiFi6AX1650 Adapter, driver version 23.20.1.1

Browser Google Chrome V125.0.6422.141 updated June 2024.

Since the update, the laptop shows it is connected to the WiFi network, but any attempt to connect to the internet results in "Can't connect the internet" or "No internet". Run Windows troubleshooting from this screen returns "The DNS Server isn't responding"

Have run the suggested fixes including Reboot PC, Reboot Modem, Reset DNS manually, Try another browser (Edge), run Antivirus, disable antivirus. Still can't connect. Can't update drivers or clear DNS Cache without internet.

WiFi has been running smoothly with this device until the recent Windows 11 update. 5 other devices including HP Laptop (Win 10) and Samsung mobile devices running various Android versions are unaffected, so it is not a wifi/router/ISP issue.

Any other suggestions?

 

Unable to install 2024-01 Cumulative Updates for Windows 11

I've tried the Windows Troubleshooter, and I disabled Malwarebytes (I primarily use Windows Defender, so I didn't need it running as well), and I've tried restarting a couple times.

But the following two updates refuse to install, and I keep receiving error code 0x80070020 for:

• 2024-01 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5034123)
  
• 2024-01 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 22H2 for x64 (KB5033920)
  

What do I need to do, to get these updates to install?

I'm running Windows 11 Home (version 22H2).

Not sure if it's extraneous info but my processor is a 12th Gen Intel i7, with 32GB of RAM.

This behavior is most of the time caused by incompatibility between the browser and plugins/add-ons. We recommend performing the troubleshooting steps below to resolve the issue:

Step 1: Uninstall the Internet Explorer add-ons by following the instructions in this article.

Step 2: Reset Internet Explorer settings by following the steps here.

Step 3: Check for the latest Windows update

• Click the Start menu.
• Type update and press Enter.
• Select Check for updates.

Step 4: Reinstall the add-ons from its respective download site.
