Windows 10: The list

Ok....


I bought a brand new HP Envy with Windows 10 ~3 weeks ago. I migrated from Mac because there are Windows only programmes I need to do my work.


Here is the litany of problems I'm having...


1 Adobe 'Touch' pdf viewer not actually saving changes to interactive pdfs that it says it's saving. I've since uninstalled it and will work on my pdfs on Google Drive, on Google Chrome, because Google is reliable. I'm already loving the Lumin Google Drive Chrome extension. It's an actual well-designed piece of software. It is a pity that I cannot simply access my pdfs from the desktop of my brand new, expensive PC.


2 Frequent black screen on open Google Chrome windows when I log back into my PC after I have been away and the PC has been sleeping.


3 Frequent black screen and general crashing problems with the Discord desktop app. Usually when I return to my PC as with Chrome.


4 Sometimes fails to detect my secondary monitor. When I return to my machine after being away, as above.


5 The UAC prompts when I open my desktop apps... really? No, really??


6 it keeps adding a second English language to my list of keyboard languages so that it messes me up when I 'windows key' + space bar toggle between the languages that I use. Even though I have repeatedly gone to the language settings and put only two English + Arabic onto the list.


7 Customer service is not good.

Overclocking / Undervolting guide for Vega 56 or 64?

Here's a quick laundry list:

Wattman (and how to find and use it, like an overview, including profiles)
Unigine Valley or Heaven (use this for quick testing while changing settings in Wattman and checking for stability / artifacts) ...just suggesting this

AMD FX OC'ers Club

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

 

Cheap Photo box that will get the job done

WEll i took on this project for PP hes a hardware reviewer and wants to get the professional looking pics for the Pc parts

Materials:

• Big cardboard box

• a razor

• white material 3 yards

• cone lights

• stapler

• medical tape

• pvc pipe about 6 inches longer than your box

• white paint any cheap finger paint would work

the project I'm guessing will cost me $30 if it works out properly
