The Master File Table MFT contains a corrupted file record

I've been having issues a few issues lately with a corrupt file which seems to have started when a game I was playing crashed and I had to hard re-set my PC, since them every time I boot up my computer it begins the scan and repair process. I've also been having issues when trying to update windows 11 to the new 24H2 as it crashes at 48% so again I had to hard re-set my compute so that it reverted back to the previous version, I tried intalling it again from the IOS but it crashed again at the exact same point, I think the issues may be related. I've been investigating the issue and when check

A corruption was discovered in the file system structure on volume Windows. The Master File Table (MFT) contains a corrupted file record.

A corruption was discovered in the file system structure on volume Windows.

The Master File Table (MFT) contains a corrupted file record. The file reference number is 0x200000000e5d5. The name of the file is "<unable to determine file name>".

Hello, recently my computer seems to be blue screening out of nowhere, and I've tried many ways to fix it. I am all caught up on updates and I am pretty sure it is not a hardware issue. The event viewer shows multiple error messages regarding failed metadata staging. This has been bugging me for a while and I would like some help

A corruption was discovered in the file system structure on volume C:.

The Master File Table (MFT) contains a corrupted file record. The file reference number is 0x10000000238a8. The name of the file is "\Windows\WinSxS\Catalogs\fa92fa14071cbe34acc5dc0a21419478f40b5f288629dea856a1cd34356e7ffa.cat".

    ^^

    from event viewer.

happened this morning when i booted up my pc.

    what i have tried:

(multiple times) chkdsk c: /f /r --> during the animation it says scanning and repairing drive. but it doesn't do anything, even after restarting many more times.

dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth --> the file or directory is corrupted and unreadable. (error 1392)

(many times) sfc /scannow --> says no errors

control panel - system and security - security and maintenance - "restart to repair drive errors", again, restarted multiple times, nothing happened. same error occurs.

file explorer - C: drive - properties - tools - error checking, "we found errors on this drive" "repair this drive now", again, restarted multiple times nothiing happened.

this catalog file is a security catalog and after briefly doing some google searches i was advised not to delete the file.

how do i fix this? a bit concerned as this was the first time.

  4. The Master File Table MFT contains a corrupted file record

The master file table's (MFT) BITMAP attribute is incorrect.

    CHKDSK C: reports the following:

The master file table's (MFT) BITMAP attribute is incorrect.

    The Volume Bitmap is incorrect.

Windows has checked the file system and found problems.

Please run chkdsk /scan to find the problems and queue them for repair.

After running CHKDSK C: /scan I ran CHKDSK C: again and got the same result as above.

It seems CHKDSK cannot resolve the master file table's (MFT) BITMAP attribute error.

How do I fix the MFT bitmap error?
