the meaning of this app permission

A lot of apps in the Microsoft Store have this permission. What exactly does it mean? Is it that the app is processing things on their server and not locally on your computer and they therefore need some interaction with your internet connection? In the official app permissions page from Microsoft https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/app-permissions-aea98a7c-b61a-1930-6ed0-47f0ed2ee15c, they don't detail this particular permission.thanks,Mark

    App Permissions

    Hi Tony,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

Some apps require certain permissions to work properly. However, you can change the permissions given to the apps by following the below steps:

    1. Click on Start.
    2. Click on Settings and then click on Privacy.
    3. Under the App Permissions you can change the permissions which are assigned for the apps.

However, you can go through the
    Microsoft Privacy Statement
    .

    Hope it helps.

    Permission issue

Presumably because TrustedInstaller is the owner (hence you need its permission), suggesting that img3.jpg was installed by Windows at some time.

Presumably that also means it can be uninstalled. How did you get it in the first place? Where is it located?

If you really want to delete it yourself, then taking ownership would seem a logical first step.

  4. the meaning of this app permission

    Knowing an app's permissions

When I'm looking at smartphone apps in the Windows Store, some apps list the permissions they request, under the "This app can" header. If an app's description doesn't include a "This app can" section, does that mean the app doesn't require any permissions?

    Thank you.
