Windows 10: the message dowload failed , scan failed

Hi ,When I try to download anything I keep getting a message , download failed ,scan failed. This has only been recently. Have tried following the right click and doing what it suggests then. Still can't download.Thanks

'Virus scan failed' message

Yes, I use Chrome. I've received several emails with Word doc attachments or google docs attached and I get the message "Failed - Virus scan failed"

I tried to go through the steps described by typing in regedit and going through the steps provided but that didn't solve the problem.

 

Is this a symptom of a failing PSU?

I think what you are trying to ask is why the machine failed to POST, since we know it has nothing to do with overclocking/overvolting and the wording of the message is just poor on ASUS's side.

There are multiple different reasons a system could fail to POST. A failing PSU is just one of them, but it is pretty high on the list. Failing memory is another possibility, as is a failing CPU or motherboard. Or it could have just been a fluke, and the machine just hung for some reason.

 

Bigger fail?

I voted for BD . The fact that AMD has been very secretive , All the delays and a WR OC to me is nothing but a FAIL to me , Lots of fluff no substance . The rest of the list is not as much to me as this is . Why is SB on there ? That is no were near a fail and as for the political stuff goes WE ALL KNOW THEY HAVE FAILED ! The last one on the list I do not even know what that is .
