Windows 10: The "message window" on Dell Latitude 7490 in windows 10 Pro is too small

Hello, have seen lots of people complaining about the same issue and the thread had been locked but want to know if there is a solution. My pop up windows and message windows not only from third party but even from windows itself and microsoft office appear so small for some reaso and this is brand new laptop. Just to give you an example, the print window is so small that it can barely be read. I have two extended secreens too, when I throw that window on other screens, then it appears fine but not on laptop. Mine is touch screen too. I am not sure what is the reason, but this is the company laptop and my IT guy does not know how o fix.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Dell Latitude E4310, missing driver, Windows 10

Hello,

I started with a fully functional Dell Latitude E4310 (circa 2011) with Windows 7 pro. Microsoft get windows 10 app came up all green for upgrading to Windows 10. Upgraded, and the laptop became very slow. It's basically become unusable. Before you ask -
it has 8Gb RAM.

Investigation (too little too late):

I'm missing one driver after upgrading.

Device type: Other devices

Manufacturer: Unknown

Location: on PCI Express Root Complex

No idea what this device might be or if it's related to my performance issues. Should have made a list before upgrading.

Now (again, too little too late), I check Dell's website - for drivers. They have no plans to support Latitude E4310 with Windows 10.

So. Other than _running_ back to Windows 7 as fast as I can, does anyone have any suggestions?

 

Windows 10 Upgrade says my Dell Latitude E6520 is Upgradable but it's on the list

I guess the title says it all. It's a Dell Latitude E6520 with Win 7 Pro. The Win 10 Update App said that upgrade would be OK though this model is not on the tested-Dell-Models list.
