The microcard SD slot on my Windows 10 Home S mode Surface Go tablet has suddenly stopped working. The Control Panel setting don't even list it as part of the hardware of my computer. It's as if it never existed, like it's suddenly been removed from software recognition of the hardware fact of the slot. It's like the latest round of updates forgot to include microSD card recognition. My hard drive is full; I need to expand capacity with a removable storage solution that isn't permanently dangling off my screen from a usb port. Is there a driver for Surface Go is S mode?

In Windows 10 if you want to play around with tablet mode



Is often the case there's a manual way to do so



I would like to suggest you to follow the given steps to enable the surface mode/ Tablet mode



•Click or tap the Start button

•Open the Settings application

•Click or tap on "System"

•In the pane on the left of the screen scroll all the way to the bottom until you see "Tablet Mode"

•Ensure the toggle is set to either on or off to your preference.

Tablet Mode doesn't automatically turn on

We suggest you to follow the below steps to make the tablet mode permanent:

• Click start and select settings.
• Select settings and then select tablet mode.
• Now you have different options to choose from, please choose settings that suits you.
