The "microphone volume" setting does not adjust my microphone volume.

I had recently gotten a new laptop Dell New G15, and although it works wonderfully, it does not work with my mic well, seeing as how my old laptop did not have this problem. To summarize, my headset microphone is very quiet, and barely anyone can hear me, not even myself. I tried to adjust my microphone volume, but whether it's at 1 or 100, it's the same. I could potentially enable audio enhancements, but it also worsens my microphone quality a lot. Here's what I've tried so far:Reinstalling the microphone driverReinstalling the Realtek Audio DriverSwitching sound driversUsing a third party ap

  2. How to raise microphone volume?

Hi vesvespa, my name is Max and I'm an independent advisor.

I suggest you check your microphone gain level. To do it, try the steps mentioned below:

Right click on Speaker icon (Volume settings) on the Taskbar

    Choose Recording Devices

Click on Microphone and open the Properties

Finally, move the slider to choose the level. It will raise the Microphone and Microphone Boost option.

The "microphone volume" setting does not adjust my microphone volume.

    Automatic microphone volume adjustment

I have microphone issue in my laptop. I am using an In-Line microphone (3.5 mm jack) from Sony. The problem is that as soon as I raise my speaking volume, the mic lower it's sensitivity automatically. I want it to be constant. I manage my microphone volume from Control Panel in hardware and sound section. The slider (Mic in at front panel (black)) is through which I manage my microphone volume. But, this slider is not constant. The drivers are from Realtek. My windows, bios and all drivers are up-to date.
