    The Microsoft Keyboard WS2-00025 keeps getting disconnected.


    I bought this keyboard this Christmas because it looked very clean and had basically everything I was looking for. However approximately a month in, it began getting latency issues. It would stay connected, but they keys would take 2-3 seconds to actually input themselves to the computer. And, every once in a while it would just completely disconnect itself from the computer. I updated the drivers, changed the battery's even though they were still at 95%. Tried everything I possibly could, to no avail.


    To be clear, this keyboard is called a Surface Keyboard, however it is not connected to a surface device. It is connected to my PC.

    Looking at the reviews it seems a lot of other people have had this issue. It has also been mentioned here multiple times but no definitive answer has been given. I noticed there was a return policy for Canadians and Americans, however I am European. Can I do anything about this?

    Microsoft wired Keyboard 600 keeps connecting and disconnecting each time I press a button.

    As you have installed the latest drivers for the keyboard and are still facing the issue, I suggest you to run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter by following the steps provided below and check if it helps.

    • Type troubleshooting in the Search box and press Enter.
    • Click on View All in the left navigation pane.
    • Click on Hardware and Devices and follow the on-screen prompts for troubleshooting.

    Also, suggest you to unplug and plug the keyboard and check if the issue is with the keyboard connection.

    Keep us posted on the status for further assistance.

    The mouse stays connected but the keyboard keeps disconnecting in Windows 10.
