Windows 10: The Microsoft Store is not functioning properly

Can someone help me please? I am running Windows 10 pro 22H2 x64 based laptop. The Microsoft Store can't install any apps and says that I have no apps installed. Sorry that I cannot show you proof. It will not allow me to insert a screenshot.

I understand your concern, let us try few troubleshooting methods to fix this issue and check if that helps:

Method 1: Register the Store through Command Prompt.

1. Type CMD in the Windows search bar.
   
2. Right click on Command Prompt and
   Run as administrator.
   
3. Type powershell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $Env:SystemRoot\WinStore\AppxManifest.xml in the Command
   Prompt Window and tap on Enter.
   
4. Close the Command Prompt and check you are able to download the application.
   

Method 2: Run DISM to find and fix corruption in Store components.

1. Type CMD in the Windows search bar.
   
2. Right click on Command Prompt and
   Run as administrator.
   
3. Type the following command “dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth “and hit
   Enter.
   

If the issue persist, try method 3.

Method 3: Disable any third party antivirus and check if you are able to download the apps from Store.

Note: Please re-enable the antivirus after completing the troubleshooting.

Method 4: If method 3 doesn’t work try to create a new user account and check if the issue is specific to the user account. Refer the article on

Create a local user or administrator account in Windows 10 for steps to create a new user account.

As you have mentioned that you are getting Winscomrssv.dll missing, I suggest you to refer the suggestions provided by

DaveM121 on March 17, 2019 and check if that helps.

We suggest resetting your Windows store to help with your issue. To do that, please follow the steps below:

• Type Settings on Cortana search box then press Enter.
• Click on Apps.
• On the Search this list box, type in Store.
• Click on Store then click on Advance options.
• Click on Reset.
