  1. The pain of the Windows 10 and their wretched updates

Am I the only user who is about to switch to Apple because of the continued unhappiness caused by the endless updates - that come without a warning and slow my PC right down, leaving me to wander if there is something wrong with my computer? How can you tell that an update, which is being forced on you without your consent, is the cause of your machine grinding to a halt? In the past for weeks, there had been 3 updates to my knowledge and I have to ask myself why??

Are the new updates attempting to sort out the problems caused by the previous updated. Probably not - judging by the state of my PC.

And it's not just that, regularly, when I get an update, a problem arrives with it, which I am unable to sort out, not being a computer expert.

To make the matters worse, the few times I have contacted Microsoft Help, they were not helpful at all, displaying a lack of knowledge of Windows in general.

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
