  1. The PC monitor does not go into a sleep mode when the gamepad is connected - Windows 10

    Hello.

Tell please, the team of this forum can not transfer to developers to solve this global problem?

This problem applies only to Windows 10, any connected gamepad to USB or USB-dongle does not switch the monitor into sleep mode, it is always in the on until it is removed from the USB.

There is a lot of complaints about this issue on the Internet and on this forum, including with the advent of Windows 10, why developers do not react and do not correct this problem so far? What needs to be done to finally heard us?

Please do not need to advise using Scannnow, Windows restoration, etc. This is a global problem that can be solved only with the help of developers and release a patch to this problem.

P.S: Sorry for my English, i use Google Translate.

    Regards.

    :)

All desktop windows are move/push-over to Main display after waking-up from sleep mode

I'm happy to find these as work-around, very helpful at least to my systems scenario.

All my desktop windows retained the exact location in both built-in and external monitor, before and after Sleep mode.

Step 1. Press the below keys before the computer turn to sleep mode

(typically, this is prior to leaving my computer for a break)

    • Windows logo key + M

Step 2. Press the below keys after signing back or activating from sleep mode

    • Windows logo key + Shift + M

Continuous Device Connect/Disonnect Sound when HP W2207 Monitor Sleeps

    Hope someone can help.

HP Pavilion p7-1287c Desktop PC with HP W2207 monitor, running Windows 10. DVI cable from monitor to PC.

    Here's what's happening:

    • If signed out of windows the monitor sleeps without issue.
    • If signed on to windows the monitor sleeps and the computer loops the device connect/disconnect sound.
    • If using VGA cable no issues with monitor sleeping but computer won't sleep.
    • Have disconnected all USB devices except wireless mouse/keyboard combo.
    • Have tested with wired USB mouse and keyboard same issue.
    • Have ensured all drivers are updated to the latest versions.
    • Have tried playing with the Advanced Power Option settings for USB and no change in behavior.
    • Have tried requiring a password on wakeup and still no change.
    • Would like to keep the DVI cable vs going back to VGA.
Please don't suggest turning off the sound for connecting/disconnecting devices.

    Thanks.
