    The peripherals keyboard, mouse, USB hub remain turned on even with the PC turned off


    I just got a new desktop PC, everything works perfectly, except for one thing, when I turn off the PC, the LEDs of the peripherals, such as mouse, keyboard, USB hub, etc., remain on, while the fans and internal LEDs go off. Whats happening? Is it a hardware or software problem?

    Using multiple peripherals with a USB hub

    Hi,
    I currently have a simple 4-port usb hub but problems begin to occur when using all 4 ports at once with peripherals such as mice/keyboard/xbox controller reciever
    I assume this is due to power limitations. If so, and i were to purchase a powered usb hub, what would be a suitable voltage/ampere power adapter for using mainly gaming mice.
    e.g. would http://www.ianker.com/product/68ANHUB-S7A be okay? any suggestions would be appretiated.

    Is it possible to use keyboard/mouse to turn pc on ?

    "If" you can get into the PC's BIOS and "if" your BIOS supports it, there's an option to power the PC on by mouse or keyboard...

    However, I'm unable to verify if a wireless mouse or keyboard would work because it seems this option is no longer listed in my recent BIOS update so I can't test it. FYI, the image above is from different BIOS posted online.

    PC turns on, No signal, keyboard/mouse.


    Do you own or can you borrow/get hold of a multimeter?

    What is your beep code? These are the codes listed by Asus for your board.
