Windows 10: The problem with the mouse.

While browsing the web, the mouse cursor freezes. You need to reset the computer to continue to browse the web.

English (Canada) is not available as a language engine for speech recognition.

I have downloaded the speech pack.

Setting English (Canada) as my display language sets my display language to English (Great Britain).

I have tried this from Region and Language.

I have tried this from Control Panel -> Language

Despite the Language control panel showing three languages (English UK, US, and Canadian), lpksetup.exe only shows two.

Testing reveals that neither of them are English (Canada).

How do I fix this?

The problem indeed stems from the Win10 Update, however there is an easy and well known solution for it.

1. Install Oracle VM Virtualbox (Oracle VM VirtualBox)

2. Install Archlinux on the VM

3. Start the VM before allowing the laptop to go to sleep and keep it running.

This will reliably keep Windows from doing whatever it does to render the display unusable by transitive property.

Other Linux distribution might work too, however I haven't tested this.

Have you checked for how much software you have installed lately? If there's a lot that stay in memory it could slow you down. So go into task manager and see what's running. Uninstall any programs you no longer use.

Also consider that your machine is a bit low end these days.

 

I removed the unnecessary programs, reset the computer, changed the mouse. It is as było.kursor mouse continued to be suspended.
