Windows 10: The program can't start because DSOUND.dll is missing from your computer

Running into that error message when I try launching some games. I've reinstalled the drivers for my graphics card Reinstalled my directX Reinstalled my gamesRun file integrity checks on the gamesAnything else?

The program can't start because d3dx9_27.dll is missing . . .


Windows 10 x64

An application, at first launch, reports the "The program can't start because d3dx9_27.dll is missing"

Noticed that whilst doing a search on this d3dx9_27.dll it mostly involves old threads and I am unsure as to whether I need to update Windows 10 with old drivers or so.

Any suggestions would be appreciate.

DLL Missing

I actually posted the link for the "list of troubleshooting steps to resolve your boost_threads.dll problems" which is located half way down the page. I did not mean to promote any downloads.

Why don't I just go back and indicate that on my original post? That way there's access to the 'step-by-step' instructions, which are accessed via those green 'plus' signs next to the topics.
