Windows 10: “The referenced account is currently locked out and may not be logged on to” error on...

This has happened twice. Once for the Admin local administrative account, and once for the User local user account. I'm running 22H2, build 19045.4170, Pro.Neither account had been unlocked since being screensaver-locked for several hours. The Admin account had been locked overnight, and the User account had been locked for at least 4 hours, possibly overnight.The Admin account received this error several weeks ago, and I was able to successfully log in after waiting 30 minutes.The User account received this error today, and I was able to successfully log in after waiting 30 minutes.No inc

Sorry for the late reply and thanks for sharing additional info. Since there's no issue with your Microsoft account, the error might be caused by multiple incorrect password entry and it usually gets resolved after waiting for a couple of hours before retrying but if its still the same after a day, I suggest following the steps in the link below to help you troubleshoot.

I just bought a new laptop and connected it to my microsoft account. Was able to set everything up and I was able to use it last night. When done, I shut down the computer and this morning when I try to log in again so I can use my laptop for work, it shows "the referenced account is currently locked out and may not be logged on to" without even giving me an option to enter my password. Need help asap as I need to use laptop for work.
