    Dear Sir/Madam, How's things?,I read that the owner's of the Microsoft antivirus from their website stated the antivirus made by them has now been further improved as though a magic wand was used?, and now can fully detect all dangerous downloads and not allow it, claiming it's now much better than the outcomes found in Windows 7,and how then would you explain?, in my case where all dangerous download/s can be downloaded and installed after either it wasn't detected at all and or just fully allowed to go in resulting in the worse case of computer damages one can get a

    Hi Bree, thanks for stepping up to address this issue.
    As far as I know my External Drive has only been used on my PC.

    I could try to implement your suggestion and take Ownership of those Folders.
    The "Take Ownership" link is present in my right click menu, but I'm currently logged in with my Microsoft account, so perhaps it would be better if I went Properties --> Security --> Advanced & set the Owner to Administrators, no?!

    Although my mind is bugged with a new question now.
    If I change the Owner & later on I have to restore a backup (Acronis on a CD) won't I encounter problems then?
